Transmission problem
1997 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 116k miles

I have a 97 sonata. It runs and drives fantastic but the overdrive off light is on cause if you engage it from the switch on the shifter it winds out. Is there some electric operated solenoid on this that could be faulty? everyone is quoteing me @ $1,200.00 without ever seeing the car. should i buy a junkyard tranny? is it just a band? every other gear is perfect. thank you.
