1997 Hyundai Sonata Automatic

I am looking to buy a car. I got an offer for Hyundai sonata 1997 but said, it may need to replace or recondition AUTO TRANSMISSION SLIPPING." could u please let me know how important is it to replace. or how much expensive is this ?

that is a very large repair and the bill would be very costly. not worth buying in this condition if you want my opinion..
