About 3 months ago I was at my Hyundai dealer to have a tire with roughly 17,500 miles looked at for a slow leak. They said the leak was in my sidewall and could not be repaired. I asked for my options. I chose to replace the two tires instead of just one. The tires were placed on my front wheel drive Santa Fe with new original Bridgestone tires.

They were balanced. Within 2 weeks I was back into the dealership because the tires weren't balanced aboved 50 mph.

They rebalanced and then I began to notice a pull the left upon acceleration and as long as there was pressure on the accelerator. The pull was such that you could not take your hand off the wheel while going straight.

After 3 additional visit to the dealer, the pull is there but is not as pronounced. The dealer says that is a characteristic of front wheel drive Santa Fe's. We also own an '06 Sonata and I do not notice any pull.

The wheel did not pull before replacing the tires. The dealer says the front end alignment I paid for is within specs.

Is there something I failed to ask? Could it be the choice of tires? Or that a fact that front wheel Santa Fe's will pull left or right upon acceleration?

I think what you are experiencing is called torque steering. It is a common symptom of front wheel drive vehicles. However, it is usually only felt under heavy accelleration. Is that when you notice it? Did it do it with the old tires?
