Brakes problem
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 6 cyl Automatic 35000 miles

I know that brake pads will grind if not replaced, but recently i was in the snow up to the tops of my tires and i had to clean snow and ice out to move, we used kitty litter to get traction and now my brakes will sound horrible when I first back up (only on backup) in the morning, but not again. Did the snow, ice or kitty litter do something.

Yes probably got behind backing plate and in calipers. Got a car wash with hot water?
