I have a check engine light on in my car, I changed the oil and they check the code for me. I was told that the code was for a brake sensor, my question is what can cause this problem and is it something that can be fixed at home?

What was the code? It may be as simple as a disconected at one of the abs sensors each wheel.

Thank you for your help, my daughter called the dealer and was told that her car was covered for that repair, so she let them fix it.
