2007 Hyundai Santa Fe battery light comes on?

Electrical problem
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 34k miles

bought car 1 week ago. Batt light came on, brought it back to dealer mech said the pos post needed a special shim like thing from hyundai. He got one and put it on. Got 100 feet from the shop bay, light came on again. Showed mech. Said he would take it to the hyundai dealership. 2 days later got it back, hyundai said a control modual was replaced. 3 days later, now batt light come on today? Wtf. Any one eles complaining bought this issue? And if so, whats the problem? Thanks knuck

HI there,

They should be checking the alternator out put as well, also just make sure all the terminals on the battery are clean and tight,

Thanks, mhpautos, just took it to the hyundai dealer today. got the red carpet treatment. dident even buy it there, yet totaly gave me a free rental,took down ALL info that i could provide. when I find out the issue, will drop ya a line. then we can help others weih this issue. thanks again mark,knuck

Well here is what I have found out. If anyone is having electrical problems, IE battery, seat belt and other dummy lights coming on and flashing while you are driving for no apparent reason. Have the Hyundai dealer check your seal around the front windshield. It appears on the corners of windshield rubber gives away just enough to let moisture in to get to integral computer connections and trick computer into reading falsely Hope this helps tons of people.
