our car when ideling in drive runs rough and then surges and idles smoothly. the wife took it to a shop and they cleaned the throttle plates. this seemed to work for a short time and it is now back. she told me yesterday it is now doing it in driving. she said at normal driving speed appx. 35 0r 40 the engince seems to hold back and then lurches. no check engine light has ever come on. it seems to be getting progressivly worse. the garage said they cannot find a issue.
