2003 Hyundai Santa Fe splitting trans from engine

I am replacing the engine in my 03 Santa Fe. I want to leave the trans in the vehicle. I unbolted the the trans from the engine, unbolted the plate from the flywheel. I tried to use a gasket scraper and a hammer to split the two but it doesnt budge. Hopefully someone can help

Are you sure all of the bolts are removed? Also, there are guide pins between them. If they are not straight, they may be on a bind causing the problem.
