Dear Sirs,

My santa fe has has tranny problems on and off since I got it. Hyundai replaced one already in 04 and now they say I need another new/rebuilt tranny. I wanted to see if a transmission specialist could fix it.
The Dealer told me, no one in the USA is licensed to rebuild hyundai Trannys, that all of them are sent overseas for remanufacture. Is this true ? Am I wasting time and money at AAMCO, or what. Emergency, must act soon, please help, already stuck home for Thanksgiving. thanks.

Hi there,

I would contact the AAMCO workshop and ask them, often dealers just want to keep the work in house to keep their profits up, i would be very surprised if they say that they are unable to do this, its only a phone call, ring and find out.
