There is a howling noise coming from front of vehicle always at acceleration. Rotors and pads are fine. It is constant at about 45 mph. Goes away when brakes are applied but returns when brake is released.

I was hoping it was only a wheel bearing. What should be done is the vehicle needs put on a rack, lifted, and put in gear to see if the sound is coming from the transmission.

Bed on that, I would have both left wheel bearing checked. When turning left, more weight is placed on that side of the car and a bad bearing will get louder.

Put vehicle on rack and ran thru all gears uo to 50 mph while turning wheel. No howling. Replaced pass side wheel bearing. Howling occurs after a couple of miles driving. Goes away when lighty applying brakes but returns when brakes are released.
