Location of OBD connertor?

I have a 2002 santa fe 2.7V6 Auto Trans
FWD and I would like to know where the connector is for the OBD is?

It should be right underneath the dash on the drivers side.

but it isn't there perhaps it has a different
connector? There is a white open 6 or 8 prong
connector under the dash but that is it

All vehicles these days have OBD II connectors, you should be able to see a connector thats about 2 inches long in the shape of a trapezoid.
