2005 Other Hyundai Models Hammering noise

Whenever I apply brakes ,I hear Hammering noise even at slow speeds , My Mechanic told me its because of the rain . I got them cleaned at 28000 mileage , again the hammering noise re-appeared after 500 Km . Please advise

Where is this hammering noise -is it in the engine or outside?

Its in the Brakes nothing to do with engine , I got the brake shoe cleaned at 28000 , it reappeared after 500 km

Better break it open and investigate could be something loose or broken
