2001 Other Hyundai Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual
I have a 2001 Santro (right-handed steering). Lately I have noticed a dull clunking sound that seems to come from somewhere under the vehicle or the boot while turning right or over bad roads (especially potholes/craters) - not sure which, as a lot of places I turn right happen to be roughly paved. I am also not able to pin-point the exact direction of the sound...doesn't *seem* to be coming from the front though I could be wrong. It sounds as if something is moving in the boot but on checking found nothing that produces that clunk (its kind of metallic but very dull). Sounds like something hollow...a low "thunk thunk thunk" or a couple of low "thunks" while recovering from a pothole driving straight. Any ideas what could be wrong...?
