I have a 1999 Hyundai Elantra, My car recently starting over hearting. So i first started out by replaceing the Thermostat. Now iam working on the water pump. What all do you need to remove off the water pump? Does the timing belt have to come off? If so how do i do so? And what type of tools am i gonna need.

Most often the notice is when the vehicle is started that it is noticed and it makes a shriek. However, when you reach the limit left and right that puts additional pressure on the pump and causes an extra pull on the pump and belt. Check the belt for wear and tighten.
