1996 Other Hyundai Models car stalls

just bouth a excell 1996.
it goes well for a week then all of a sudden out of blue it stalls(engine dies) when i put clutch in?(sometimes 3 or 5 times in one day)
has got me stumped!!
any one with ansers ??

Has the check engine light come on? Also, have you checked for vacuum leaks?
