1993 Other Hyundai Models Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Manual 99000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have hyundai excel 1995. Its mileage is around 99000 km. The car heats up every now and then. But if its running at a speed above 60, then it does not heat up. But usually in the traffic, i gets heat up. I have got radiator and fan repaired and they are working good. I have also changed fuel pump. But in traffic, the heat up problem still persists. Please tell me should i get gasket changed?

Hi there,

check for coolant loss, have a pressure test done, also have a head gasket test done on the cooling system, they will check for exhaust gasses in the coolant, replace the thermostat if not already done and re check the fans are coming on. ensure there is no rubbish built up between A/C condenser and radiator and the cooling fins on the condenser are not damaged as the air for the radiator must first pass through the condenser.
