my old jalopy HYUNDAI excel water pump is leaking from the little hole in it. What does this mean? ALSO, someone said you MUST take off the timing belt to install a new water pump. Is this so? ANY HELP; please email or post. Thank u and HELP ASAP! The antifreeze keeps leaking out as I post on here! :Roll: THIs car had 99,000 miles.1992 HYUNDAI EXCEL HATCHBACK.1.5 liter fuel injected, standard shift.

The pump is made with a hole so you can tell when you have a bad pump, it will seep water out of a weep hole. Replace the pump and the leak will go away.
