seems like radiator fan may not be coming on as it should, otherwise the a/c being on would only make the overheating worse. when the a/c is turned on, there is a switch that tells the radiator fan to come on as well. but when the a/c is not on, the radiator fan is turned on by the engine coolant temp. sensor.
