I was told my right rear strut was leaking and to repair it would cost 843.00 for both right and left. Is this normal or should I ask around. Also I was told I needed new front brakes and possibly rotors at a total cost of 469.29

I just am concerned about the cost and want to know if I should look around.

Thanks for your input

Hi:
I don't know where you live, but here, near Pittsburgh, that is about a 400.00 job (total). I recommend getting another opinion. Go to one of the parts stores on line (auto zone. Com advanceauto. Com) and look up the price of parts. I think you'll be mad. For Example:

Brake pads 31.00
Brake rotor 28.99 each
Rear Strut Less than 50.00 each

overall, less than 200 in parts. Labor must be really be expensive where you live, around 300.00 an hour.

GET A SECOND OPINION.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe
