how do I turn off check engine light 2006 hyundai elantra

THe check engine light is reset by using an OBD2 scanner. If you go to a nationally recognized parts store, they should do it for free. However, if the light is on, chances are there is a trouble code stored in the computer. Have them check that and let me know what you find.
