In a perfect world you would have had your oil changed every 3,000 miles, and had a factory hyundai oil filter installed each time. Also, keep in mind this engine has 125,000 on it. Could be a lifter sticking, could be a clogged oil pump screen preventing oil from reaching your valves. As unbelieveable as it sounds, it could be your oil filter. This car has a bulletin on it stating numerous customers complaining of a ticking noise. This is caused by using aftermarket oil filters. It states as follows- Some vehicles may experience an engine knock noise with the use of an aftermarket oil filter. Aftermarket oil filters may use different materials, construction and specifications than genuine Hyundai oil filters, which may lead to pressure variations within the engine, thus contributing to an engine knocking noise. At 125k, im assuming you changed the timing belt, and waterpump, along with plugs and wires. A top engine clean, along with an oil flush isnt a bad idea, and being higher mileage, try using an oil additive such as lucas. See if this makes that noise go away.
