hi,
I'm not sure how to word this to get the best results, but I will try. I went and got gas yesterday and everything was fine. When I got done I shut the door on the gas tank. I noticed it looked like it was not sitting right I didnt force it, and I didnt have to slam it shut. It shut normally.

I tried to pull the lever in my car to see if it will open and I cant get the door to open now on my car. I tried to see if maybe I could help pry it open, so I stuck my keys in there and the stupid thing still wont open. I'm not sure how to get this fixed? Please help.

I just ran into the same problem today with my 2003 Elantra. I was hoping to find a way to pry the door open online, but your question is the only thing I've found so far. Did you ever get your tank open? How did you get it?I tried prying it with mykeys as well, which got me no where. Now I need more gas, but can't seem to get to it.

Hi,
i just recieved your comment on the gas tank.

I had to call my boyfriend to figure it out, but what he said he did was that he pulled the gas tank lever in the car and used his keys at the same time to open it up. He had to kind of push in the side of the gas tank that is attached to the car. By doing this helped open it up. I have had no issues at all since.
