2003 Hyundai Elantra Door Open Light

My door open light stays on along with the overhead light in the car. If I slam the driver's door hard the door open light will go off for a minute or two but come right back on.

you must have a fault on the switch or the wiring to the switch on the door ..or a fault in the ETACS module ..electronic time & alarm control system ..
