main cat is below eff. threshold (bank 1)

does this mean I have to replace the cat that comes

off the exhaust header or the one in the rear before

the muffler.

The one closest to teh exhaust manifold is most likely a pre-cat. If the one before the muffler has the second o2 sensor behind it, that is the main cat and it is most likely the one that needs to be replaced
