Electrical problem
2001 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I accidentally had the cables reversed when I jumpstarted my 2001 elantra. I was using a spare battery rather than another car. Afterwards, after having charging and electrical problems, I found the 100amp fuse was blown and the car runs and the battery charges. The only problem I still have is that the radio, dashboard clock, dome light, reading lights, won't work at all and also anything in the accessory or off position, like the power locks won't work without the key turned to the on position. I ohm'd out all the fused under the hood and also on the driver side of the car. Is there a fuseable link or something i'm missing? What provides power to these things? Where can I find it?

The accessory's, reading and dome lights, radio don't work at all. The power locks would normally work at all times, and they only work when the car ignition is on.

Checkout all fuses and fusible links first of all.

If that fails I would check the ignition switch, could be fried.

[i have ohm'd out all fuses and they are all ok. Do you have any idea where the fuseable links would be? Could the ignitions switch affect the reading lights that are suppose to have voltage all of the time?

Fusible links run right off the battery.

The ignition switch may have the all time lights running through it to save time and money on the design, then again it may not be.

You could have fried some of the computer and melted off a few wires. You have lots of searching to do.
