How do I make a recently installed1999 Hyundai Elantra transmission work in my 2000 Hyundai Elantra. The sending unit on the 1999 has 4 prongs female plug, my 2000 male end has 6 prongs. It will only shift in first and second right now.

The computer decides when it will shift. There is a chance it won't work. You need to contact a salvage yard that may have a cross reference book to see if that change is possible. We recommend staying with direct replacement parts.
