Transmission problem
2000 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 157000 miles

DTC Codes P0732 & P0734. I looked up the codes and they are gear 2 and 4 incorrect ratio, respectively. Is this a mechanical issue or a sensor issue? I checked fluid levels, all is fine. How do I fix this?
Thank you,
Chris Meier

Hi Chris Meier,

Thank you for the donation.

Possible causes

1. Pulse generator A and B ( Sensor)
2. Its wiring circuit. (Electrical wiring)
3. Overrunning clutch (Mechanical and hycraulics)
4. Rear clutch
5. End clutch
6. Kickdown brake slipping.

I would suggest getting on a diagnostics to get the electrical part verified for fault. If no fault is detcted, you need to rebuild the trans.
