Hi, I have a 96 elantra. I recently had my daughter change the timing belt and fuel pump at the same time. After she finally got the car running smoothly the piston and spark plug closest the timing belt became one. I am 72 years old and cannot afford to take it to a shop. The local high school autoshop has said they will fix it but I need to get the parts. What am I going to need and any suggestions on where to get them. This is a learning experience for the kids so any extra help you can give me would be great. So far the kids and instructor say I need a cylinder head and a complete piston. They do not know if there will be anything else needed. Thank you, joan

Sir

We need to know exactly what does this mean: After she finally got the car running smoothly the piston and spark plug closest the timing belt became one.

Its not enough data to go by-please! Be specific so that we can teach the kids is to how to repair this particular problem

We'll be waiting for your return
