Engine Cooling problem
1995 Hyundai Elantra Automatic

I was driving on the highway and my thermostat will straight to hot. I pulled over before the car could shut itself off but white smoke was coming from under hood. Today I put coolant and water in the car but a little white smoke was still coming up. Should I be worried? What should I do?

I would be concerned and I do not recommend driving the car until it is repaired. Towing is not cheap but neither is a new motor. Seek out a mechanic that you feel good dealing with and have this looked at promptly.
