1995 Hyundai Elantra ball joint or muffler sounds?

my car has recently been making loud noises everytime i accelerate, similar to like having card flapping on the wheel of a bycycle. the car isnt losing any power but the sound is very aggravating. it sounds like a muffler problem but i know i also have to replace the ball joint on my car so that could potentially be the problem. I'd appreciate it anyone knew what could be causing this troublesome noise.

i would be checking an exhaust leak, and a CV joint issue instead of ball joint.
