My temperature gauge no longer goes to its' usual position of midway between cold and hot; it stays at cold. Can you tell me what is wrong please? I had the car in for a full service at the beginning of august 2010.

seems as though the gauge is reading inaccurately. the most likely culprit would be a faulty engine coolant temp. sensor.
