Why does my car rev up and down when driving?
It first started on the highway and the car got sluggish, I was driving 90 and it slowed right down and slugged along. I pulled over and shut it off. When I tried to drive it again, it drove only 30 and I had my foot on the gas pedal. But it continued to drive slowly....The mechanic could not find the problem . Nothing shows up on the electrical reader thingy???
The problem then mysteriously stopped for about 3 months, then started again, it revs up and down and the speedomoter goes up really high but the car does not go any faster?
I took it to the mechanic who drove it for 2 weeks and nothing happened. argh!
It cleared up again for another 3 months and has now started again????
Another mechanic looked at it but nothing showed up on the electrical thingy and it does not do it for the mechanic.
The engine light does NOT come on.
I'm afraid to drive it.. which is too bad as it was a good little car. 2002 with only 57 kms! Its hardly been driven!! Pls help its annoying!
