When I turn on the blower switch while idling, the the car shuts off. And when I turn on the blower switch, while the car is in drive, I feel an electrical drain on the motor and hear a squealing noise. The heat and AC themselves work fine, my problem is only when the blower switch gets turned on. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Hi dominic2,

Thank you for the donation.

Is the squealing noise coming from engine? If yes, it should be the AC compressor belt. Is the AC cold while in operations?

I would suggest checking the belt tensions and crank pulley and idle or tensioner bearings condition.
