2001 Hyundai Accent spark plug thrown out of the engine

2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl 90000 miles

My accent literally threw a spark plug out of my engine. It will start if that spark plug is not in it but will die if you try to put it back. the threads were stripped. What would cause it to do this and what can I do to repair it? Is it a possible compression problem? Your response will be highly appreciated.

was the end of the spark plug bent or the porcelain on it shattered?

is it the same size plugs as the other ones?
