Electrical problem
2000 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

hi
my trouble start while sitting a red light. the car just turned off. had to push it off the road. apon getting a car trailer to transport car home it started again. but hasnt started since. timming belt is good. crank sensor is good tested with scope. this is my son's car. and i,m reasonably sure it has had an after market alarm and engine immobiliser fitted. no spark at any coils. and i was wondering what proceedureor testing i should now follow to start eliminating any other sensors or module to find the source of the problem
thanking you.

Hi ggleeko,

If it is the immo, then you would not be able to crank the engine.

I would suggest checking for power supply to the coil packs.

Another item that you should check is the cam sensor.
