1998 Hyundai Accent Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Manual 555OO miles

Hi, i bought a used car yesterday. The bloke said that he had over filled it with oil. Noticed that when i turn engine on it is leaking quite a lot of oil from the bottom and oil round where the oil goes. i was told from a mate that its most probably the rocker gasket cover. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
