Hello,

The fans not coming on can cause the vehicle to overheat, a bad thermostat will make a vehicle run hot, a bad radiator will do the same.

First thing to do is find out why the fans are not comong on. You will need to check the relay. And chek to see if the fans work. To do this you will need a test light, you can get one at your local auto parts store. Then locate the radiatir fan relay and pull it out. Using the test light find a good ground to clip the one end to then with the other end probe each socket were the relay was. And remember each socket that made the light come on. Then with a seperate piece of wire using one of the sockets that made the test light come on. Stick one end into that socket, now stick the other end of the wire into one of the sockets that DID NOT light the test light. If the fans come on then the fans are good. If the fans doesn't come on the go to the next socket that DID NOT light the test light and do this until you have either turned the fans on or you have checked each socket.

If the fans come on at some point during test replace relay and then run car to see if they will now come on. If they do is the vehicle still overheating?

Post finding here.
