Just had car inspected and passed - now have front right squeaking noise when applying breaks and smells hot - what could this be?

Hi AFlower,

Get the brakes checked. The calipers could be binding.

Thanks going to take it in tomorrow - just thought if they were "bad" they would have said since they did the inspection.

They ought to have but sometines it could be at the borderline and test carried out then were within specifications.
