I am having the same issue as described by most with the HVAC blend door actuator. I had the “clicking” sound several months back but it stopped happening with no issues until recently. Now I only have heat regardless of the temperature I have set. I’m unsure which actuator motor to change and I’m also unsure of the location. I have automatic climate control.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.
The actuator is under the dash and mounted on the heater/AC box. I attached a picture of its location. It is number 8 in the picture.
Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.
Joe

Is that the recirculating actuator? I’m having trouble finding which one that actually is.

Welcome back:
The attached picture shows all of the components. It is the picture I attached above. If you look at picture 2, it identifies the components by number. Number 5 is what determines if you get fresh air or recirculated air. Item 8 is responsible for air temperature.
Let me know if it helps.
Take care,
Joe

I can’t find it! With the glovebox removed I can see the recycle actuator but don’t see any others. I included a picture of the recycle actuator. Any reference from this point would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome back:
Based on the schematic, it should be more toward the center. You are looking at component number 5. Look at the schematic and locate number 8.

Yep, found it behind the floor vent. I had to remove the vent to be able to see it. The schematics were very helpful after I got oriented on how I was actually looking at them. Thanks for all the help!

Welcome back:
I'm glad it helped. Sometimes I feel the manufacturers try to hide things on purpose. Regardless, I'm glad you found it.
Take care and let us know if you have questions in the future.
