Got my H3 back from the body shop and it is displaying 18,689 more miles than it went in with. They are saying they can't do anything about it. I am told the Body Control Module and odometer cluster work together so the milage can't be recovered. I understand that you don't want people to be able to roll back miles, but this is not the case here. Is there anyone that can help me recover the correct mileage.

To the best of my knowledge, nothing can be done. However, if anyone can, it will be the dealer. The problem is, will they. Anyone could say the mileage is wrong and they want it turned back, so then it becomes a legal issue.

Contact your dealer to see how they respond. If it is negative, you may need to contact the district service manager from Hummer for help.

Is the body shop willing to verify that the mileage is wrong on the vehicle?

They are. I also had the vehicle inspected shortly before the accident and the mileage is recorded on the inspection sticker here in Texas.

I would see if the dealer would be able to do anything with it. Let me know what you find.

I just talked to a guy locally that says he could replace the BCM and completely reprogram it with the correct mileage. He just wants documentation of the mileage He said everything the BCM controls would have to be reprogrammed as well. About $400 for him to do it. It's my best option so far.

If that is including a new BCM, jump on it.

So turns out the BCM was displaying kilometers instead of miles. The conversion to my actual miles was exact. BCM is still going to have to be replaced, but at least it makes a little more sense as to what happened. Going to try to get my insurance company to reimburse me for my $401.99. Thanks for your help and I hope this helps someone else.

I don't know if you have solution about mileage, so you must find an eeprom programmer to read SPI eeprom 25C040 in BCM and 96C56 in the dash
