Battery draining during 48 hours when parked

Battery drains over 48 hrs. When not in use. Brand new battery and original brand new alternator. Purchased because it was believed to be the problem. It's not. Can't solve problem. Thank you very much for your advice!

It sounds like you have a constant draw on the battery. Follow these directions and let me know what you find.

Thank you very much for your advice. My mechanic disconnected the radio. He believe this was the most likely culprit. I have used the Hummer every day since, but still don't know what will happen if I don't use it for a couple of days.
I have seen a double battery pack advertised for H2. Would that be something I should consider?

If there is a draw, it will take longer, but it will still drain the battery after time. Since he disconnected the battery, if he rechecks for a draw, it should be gone if the radio is the problem.

Thanks to 2CarPros for advice. My problem with constant battery draining in my Hummer H2 model 2006 is now solved and I thought by sharing I might help others. My mechanic finally discovered that the fault was in the ignition lock on the steering column. He discovered it by chance when he bumped into it while looking for the fault elsewhere in the interior. The red light for the battery came on. A new ignition switch was bought and installed, and all is well now. Cheers - Svein Steinmoen
