2005 Hummer H2 Key won't turn

I had an ignition switch problem, I changed the switch and now the key will not turn to the start position. It seems that it is stuck

Your switch was probably installed out of reference. You would need to remove it and retime it, you can do this by moving the gear. Without being able to put my hands on it, I am not really able to help you retime it, it is more or less trial and error.
