Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com. I would simply start with checking the power steering fluid. I have attached a picture of the power steering reservoir. Simply remove the cap and there will be a dipstick attached to it. With the engine off, check to make sure it is full and clean. The reservoir is part of the pump assembly, so it will be located on the front of the engine and driven by the serpentine belt.
If you find fluid needs to be added, simply use a standard type power steering fluid.
I hope this helps. Keep in mind, as the fluid heats up, it expands. Therefore, this could be the (simple) cause of the problem.
