My truck has a 350 motor that has the flex fan setup. I would like to install a clutch fan setup. I am not exactly sure where to start. Does it require any wiring or anything? How does clutch fan know when to kick on or off? It it as simple as removing flex fan and inserting clutch fan? Thanks.

Good evening,

Yes, it is simple.

You need a new fan. You will need to remove the flex fan and remove the spacer behind it to the water pump pulley.

Then you need to get studs for the mounting of the fan. They need to be about three inches long.

Then get your new clutch fan with a new eight blade fan and install it on the truck.

It activates by heat and speed.
