How to tighten new serpertine belt

Just replaced a new serpentine belt to my 1990 mercedes benz 300CE, but i don't know the right way how to tighten the belt.

Belt tension is set by a pulley on a spring-loaded arm. You had to pull on it to release the tension on the old belt. If it's not taking up the tension, you have the wrong belt, it's routed incorrectly, or the tensioner is rusted in the released position. The third possibility is the most common one.
