Hi,
The engine you indicated, a four cylinder, wasn't an option. Please confirm that for me.
What was used was either a 3.1L V6 or a 3.8L V6.
Either of the two V6 engines will have the starter in the same location. It will be on the radiator side of the engine and molted to the transmission bell housing. See pics 1 and 2.
When you do this, make sure the battery is disconnected prior to starting. Once everything is installed and you are sure there is nothing that can short at the starter (two wires), then reconnect the battery.
