I have the van listed above and the brake lights don't work. I have taillights when my headlights are on but no brake lights or reverse lights. Replaced the bulbs and circuit board but I noticed the connection piece on the wires looks a bit melted and doesn't look like the other side. How do I replace the plug on the wires?

Hello,

You can purchase this electrical connector at your local auto parts store. To replace the damaged electrical connector simply take a pair of wire stripper/crimpers and cut one wire going to the electrical connector you are replacing. Strip about 1/2" from the exact wire on the new electrical connector and do the same to the vehicle wiring harness of the wire you just snipped. Splice the two wires together with a good quality butt connector and repeat the same process for the remaining wires. In the diagrams down below I have included the pinout for the brake lamp electrical connector for your reference. I hope that this helps.

Thanks,
Alex
