how to remove automatic trans shifter knob

car vandalized by small fire where console meets dash. car will not come out of park even by depressing override button (battery is also dead) need to remove shifter knob so I can remove console and check out damage and try to get trans out of park .misspoke earlier, trans does come out of park by pressing selector release but will not go much past park position

probably the cable is broken on it look for a screw or pin at bottom portionof shifter knob. then remove screws at rear console and then screws on pic i'm sending. the knob may also have apiece that comes off top and screw is there.
