I moved the two yellow latches on both sides of the trunk, and I released the lock from under the storage tray, the roof rear windshield is still not moving up. It must go up for the back lid to open. I unlatched the front of the roof with the allen key, but it won't fold I bet cause the rear windshield has to go up first.

Hi,

I believe there are locks that need to be released behind the liner on both sides of the rear framework for the rear window to move. I have an A4 and know what you are referring to as far as the window lifting upward before being able to open the lid.

I attached two pics below for you. One is a factory pic which I circled where the approximate location is and the second shows where the allen wrench is placed to unlock things. Keep in mind, the opposite needs done when you close it.

Let me know if this helps. Be careful not to damage the headliner.

Take care,

Joe

Let me see if I can find them. The problem is this liner is so tight and hard to remove. I removed several liners in the past never seen anything like this.

Hi,

Under normal conditions, the rear of the liner can be removed when the rear window is folded upward. That was my concern.

Let me know.

Joe
