How to install an accumulator piston cover

The cover is missing and I am trying to get installed. I would like to know how do you install the piece. (accumulator piston cover)

There were a lot of issues with these back in the day. A special too was required. However, if I recall correctly, a good pry bar and a set of snap-ring pliers will do the trick. You need to compress the spring to get the snap ring to seat. If I recall, I was able to pry using the torsion bar as a leverage point.
